Stroke Survivors Connect
Online Support for Stroke Survivors Across Australia
Stroke Survivors Connect is an online support group created for stroke survivors who want connection, understanding and community in a safe and welcoming space. Hosted via Zoom, this group makes it easier to meet others who understand life after stroke, no matter where you live in Australia.
Whether you are newly adjusting to life after stroke or have been on the journey for years, Stroke Survivors Connect offers an opportunity to share experiences, hear from others and feel less alone.

What Is Stroke Survivors Connect?
Stroke Survivors Connect is a regular online support group designed specifically for stroke survivors. It brings people together through Zoom, making support accessible from home without the need to travel.
The group is focused on conversation, encouragement and shared lived experience. It is a place where members can talk openly, listen to others, build friendships and feel part of a supportive community.
Who Is This Group For?
This group is for stroke survivors across Australia who are looking for:
-
connection with others who understand stroke recovery
-
a supportive and welcoming community
-
regular social interaction in an accessible online format
-
encouragement, understanding and shared experiences
-
a safe space to talk, listen and learn from others
Stroke Survivors Connect is inclusive of people at different ages, stages of recovery and life circumstances.
Why Join an Online Stroke Support Group?
Recovering from a stroke can feel isolating, especially when others around you may not fully understand the challenges involved. An online stroke support group can help reduce that sense of isolation by connecting you with people who truly get it.
Stroke Survivors Connect gives members the chance to:
-
build confidence through regular connection
-
share personal experiences in a supportive setting
-
gain encouragement from others on similar journeys
-
feel seen, heard and understood
-
access support from anywhere with an internet connection
For many survivors, community is just as important as information. Sometimes, a good chat with people who understand can make a world of difference. A bit less clinical, a bit more human. That’s the sweet spot.
How It Works
Joining Stroke Survivors Connect is simple.
Join From Home

When We Meet
Stroke Survivors Connect currently offers two weekly online support sessions via Zoom:
Wednesday Morning Session

Friday Evening Session
Fridays at 8:00 pm
These two times give members flexibility to join the session that best suits their schedule.
What You Can Expect
Each session is an opportunity to connect with other stroke survivors in a relaxed and respectful environment. Members may share experiences, talk about challenges, celebrate progress and support one another through the ups and downs of stroke recovery.
You do not need to have all the right words. You do not need to have it all together. You just need to show up as you are.
Why Stroke Survivors Connect Matters
Support after a stroke is not only about medical care. Emotional support, social connection and community can play a big role in helping people rebuild confidence and wellbeing.
Stroke Survivors Connect helps bridge that gap by offering a space where stroke survivors can connect regularly, support one another and feel part of something bigger than their own day-to-day challenges.
