About the Role
As a volunteer Fundraising Representative, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organisation's fundraising efforts. You will have the opportunity to utilise your communication and persuasive skills to engage with potential donors, promote our cause, and secure donations. This role is essential in helping us generate funds to support our programs and initiatives.
Collaborate with the fundraising team to plan and execute fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
Assist in identifying potential donors, sponsors, and partners who align with our organisation's mission and values.
Actively participate in fundraising activities such as making phone calls, sending emails, and attending events to solicit donations.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with donors, supporters, and sponsors.
Engage potential donors in conversations, effectively conveying our organisation's goals, impact, and funding needs.
Provide personalised follow-up and acknowledgment to donors, expressing gratitude for their contributions and keeping them informed about the impact of their support.
Utilise various communication channels, including phone calls, emails, social media, and in-person interactions, to reach out to potential donors and raise awareness about our organisation's mission.
Customise fundraising messages and appeals to different audiences, tailoring them to resonate with the interests and motivations of potential donors.
Leverage personal networks and community connections to expand our reach and engage new supporters.
Donor Database and Reporting:
Accurately record donor information, contributions, and interactions in the organisation's database or CRM system.
Collaborate with the fundraising team to maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Collaboration and Support:
Collaborate with fellow volunteers, staff members, and the fundraising team to exchange ideas, strategies, and best practices.
Provide support during fundraising events and activities, including setup, logistics, and post-event tasks.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to effectively convey the organization's mission, goals, and impact to potential donors.
Persuasive and confident in making donation requests and asking for support.
Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and accountability.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in using fundraising software, CRM systems, and other relevant tools is a plus.
